What do you do when you hear, "Man down!" Focused on all of the basic "stay alive" trauma management skills, this is a fast-paced, hands-on course that blends weapons manipulation and traumatic injury treatment in a variety of high risk scenarios based on real-life incidents. Students will be expected to utilize their equipment while under stress to "save" critically injured team members.

Hands-on application of the IMK

Basic and Advanced Airway management (ARS Needle)-treating and monitoring tension pneumothorax

Advanced Airway adjunct device placement-Nasal airway

Positioning victims--Recovery position, maintaining open airway, head injury, thorax injury, c-spine injury, abdominal injury

Proper use of cover and cover vs. concealment

Ammunition Requirements
Gear
A functional handgun chambered in 9mm .40 or .45 cal. Belt, holster, a minimum of 3 magazines, magazine pouches or rigs wraparound clear eye protection, ear protection, weapons cleaning kit, clothing appropriate for climate and conditions and a water bottle or other hydration system individual first aid kit.
